eXite® International
One of the added values of eXite® is in fact, that with only one connection a user has access to a very high number of business partners. This is valid for domestic EDI partners from different industries, such as customers, suppliers, logistic partners, banks and even the public sector.
But this is increasingly valid for international connections as well. Via eXite® and its increasingly growing network of roaming and franchise partners, virtually every EDI partner worldwide is interconnected.
Functions
With one single link to eXite®, users will have access to the global EDI community. It functions basically as a clearing house and like an electronic post office with many additional services. Each subscriber has one or more mailboxes into which data can be stored, or from which it may be forwarded to the recipient’s server automatically.
The most important technical functions and advantages are:
- Real time processing – No message queuing
At the end of any data transmission all EDI messages are stored at the recipient’s mailbox. - IT Centers
eXite® service runs fully mirrored parallel in 3 professional IT centers. They are operated by IBM and T-Systems, and correspond with the IT center quality level TIER 3+. - Data Security and Integrity
eXite® offers only secured access via Value Added Networks (i.e. AT&T Network Services), Leased line access, VPN tunnels, SSL – Secure Socket Layer – P2P communication or AS2 encrypted communication. - National Language Support
All text, which is used in eXite® is available in several languages (English, German, and others). The user may choose the language of its choice. - Data Formats
EDI standards supported: UN/EDIFACT, GS1 XML, SEPA XML. Private formats may be moved as a payload within data envelopes. - eXite®_Link Communication Module
Is a Java based application with browser based operation and a wide range of functions. It supports all native functions offered by eXite®, incl. active forwarding, active notifications, enveloping and de-enveloping, job scheduler for automated processing. - Data Collection
By default all data is stored in the recipient’s mailbox. In this case the user decides at what point in time the data is collected. The collection request is initiated by the user. At the users choice the data can be forwarded automatically to the users workstation or server. At the users choice eXite® can notify the recipient that new data has arrived in his eXite® mailbox. - Message Tracing
Every communication session with eXite® is logged within a session audit log file. This file may be retrieved in a digitally signed format and as such forms a legal proof of action. Every action within eXite® is recorded and may be retrieved in various detail levels at any time. Every message within the eXite® message store has an inbound timestamp and an outbound timestamp that can be queried by either the sender or the recipient of an EDI interchange. - Proof of Delivery
With a history of 40 days every user may retrieve all inbound and outbound log information of his eXite® mailbox in a digitally signed format. This log may be retrieved ad-hoc or periodically in given time periods. The retrieval of an EDI interchange from an EDI mailbox or an EDI frontend system (i.e. eXite WEB EDI system) can be automatically acknowledged by eXite® to the sender. This acknowledgement may be in form of an e-mail or it may be an EDI CONTRL message, that is returned to the data sender. Negative acknowledgements (not collected within a given period, deleted by the recipient before collecting or various error notifications) are available as well. - Monitoring
Various log reports and statistics can be subscribed by a user and will be produced and delivered via e-mail or into the mailbox at predefined times or periods. All users that can be reached via eXite® and its roaming partners may be queried by means of their GLN (EDI ID). All accounting and billing information may be queried by means of eXite® web functions.
